Certified Medical Assistant

We are looking for enthusiastic CNAs to join our team of addiction treatment professionals. As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), you will provide crucial support to the nursing staff by ensuring that medical protocols are followed while also helping clients with their immediate needs, including guidance, motivation, nourishment, shelter, and safe escort outside the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments for clients entering detox or rehabilitation programs.
• Complete sedative and opiate withdrawal assessments every 4 hours as directed by the charge nurse.
• Keep the counseling and nursing staff informed about client activities.
• Follow the chain of command and seek professional guidance as needed.
• Observe clients for behaviors that are inconsistent with treatment goals.
• Ensure clients remain engaged with their program schedule.
• Escort clients outside the facility when necessary.
• Transport clients to various units within the facility.
• Perform routine room checks on all clients.
• Document all room checks and client movements in shift reports.
• Update the population board with admissions and discharges each shift.
• Assist with maintaining and updating client medical records.
• Monitor linen supplies and replenish them as required each shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

• New York State Certified Nurse Aide
• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of Substance Abuse Treatment
• Required computer skills
