We are a healthcare organization focused on treating individuals struggling with substance and alcohol use disorders. Our primary commitment is to our patients, ensuring that high-quality care remains our top priority. Our facility offers comprehensive treatment options, including detox, medication-assisted treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery therapy. We are currently looking for Full-Time Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our compassionate team!

The LPN will provide nursing care based on individualized patient needs, following both dependent and independent nursing responsibilities in accordance with recognized nursing practices and standards under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer medications in accordance with Safe Nursing Practice standards and physician orders.
• Provide education to patients about their medications, documenting their comprehension and compliance; notify the registered nurse or physician of any abnormalities.
• Record all patient activities such as admissions, discharges, and emergency room visits; alert the nursing team to any irregularities.
• Document the detoxification process and patient responses, notifying nursing or medical personnel of any concerns.
• Record treatment interventions and the patient's responses, reporting any abnormalities to the registered nurse or physician.
• Collaborate with the treatment team regarding patient progress, informing the registered nurse or physician of any issues.
• Conduct withdrawal assessments and vital signs as needed according to the treatment plan.
• Gather data for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs, including Census and Medication Event Report Forms, and report abnormalities to nursing or medical staff.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration.
• Valid CPR and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Preferred experience in addiction treatment.
